Åga - Hauknes

It is a city area which exist of houses, kindergartens, schools, hiking areas, and very close to the beach, and it is more fitted for those who needs short access to skiing trails and paths in Mo i Rana. Alteren 

Alteren is a suburb located a couple of kilometers outside centrum area in Mo i Rana. It is a small city area with houses, and a school, kindergarten, sport teams, and walking and hiking areas.

Mo i Rana is considered a small town instead of a big city which means that average renting costs are a bit lower compared to other municipalities in Northern Norway. It is more expensive to live closer to downtown opposed to suburbs, and you have less living space when living in Centrum.
