General information about upper secondary education

Youths have the right to upper secondary education when they have finished primary and secondary education, and by the year they turn 16 years old. Youths can choose between general studies or vocational studies and training, where they can choose between different program studies. Relocation

There are some requirements and needs if you are relocating from another country and to Norway. The right to enroll into upper secondary education requires legal residency in Norway. Youths who are staying while waiting for their residence permit to be decided and is under 18 years old have the right to finish upper secondary education in Norway. Admission 

It is admission office in the county who are responsible for admission into upper secondary education in Nordland. The application deadline for admission of international students is 1 February ever year where you must deliver application with required documents before this date, directly to the admission office in Nordland county.

Polarsirkelen Videregående skole

The upper secondary school is called Polarsirkelen Videregående skole which is located in the city area of Mjølan in the city of Mo i Rana. Polarsirkelen upper secondary school has wide offers of educational programmes for youths. It is one of the biggest upper secondary schools in Nordland with diversity of students and teachers in programmes.
